May 15, 2018, Gods blessings be with you.

This past Mother’s Day was truly an enjoyable experience. It was fun to see all the mother’s pictures showing on the screen. A special thanks to Cody for putting that together for us, to Betty Harris for singing the songs that she did, to Debbie for scanning photos in so they could be included, to Carly for getting the presents together, to the young people for being our deliverers, and for Nita Clark for her ideas and guidance. Sorry to any who did not get their Mother’s Day presents. It turned out we had more mothers in attendance than we expected. I hope the rest of your day was blessed.

On the 27th, we will be honoring those who gave their lives while in service to our country. If you have any picture, please get them in to the church office so they can be included in a slide show. This will also be a contemporary service as Nita will be leaving early for the Annual Conference at the Woodlands.

In June, we will be starting our Wednesday Christian Movies. They will be held at 2 different times. First we will have our matinee at 10 a.m. for those who do not like to get out at night and then at 6 p.m. for those who are working. Popcorn will be provided together with water to drink. If you would like to bring your own drink or some snacks to share, you are more than welcome. We will be starting with the movie, “God’s Not Dead.” Come enjoy the fun and fellowship.

Remember to come and share the Lord’s Day together here at First United Methodist. If you are unable to attend, the service is streamed on our Facebook page, but we would love to see you here at service.
