Gods blessings be with you.

Saturday saw many changes at Nadine’s Outreach as a group of our members gathered together for a work day. There was cleaning done, the grounds were cleaned up, and the porches were worked on. If you look up there, you can see the changes. Thank you to those who gave of their time in the effort to get things ready to serve our community. It was hard work but was also a fun time. Today, the city came by and filled in the two wells that were on the property. There is still more work to be done, so keep your eyes out for additional work days to be scheduled in the future.

This week is food pantry week so get ready. We need our volunteers for getting everything ready and for passing things out. At around 6:30 a.m. or so, our pick-up crew will be leaving for Tyler to pick-up the food. At 10:15 a.m. our unloaders, sorters, and baggers arrive to get everything ready. 12:30 p.m. our doors open to start distribution, which will continue until 2:30 p.m. It is a busy day, but fun is had by all and it is always a joy to help others. If you know of anyone who might need a little help, please invite them to stop on by. No one is turned away empty.

Please remember to mark the last Sunday of this month on your calendar. It is a fifth Sunday, so we will be having a contemporary service. It will also be the Sunday that we will be honoring our high school seniors, so get ready for food.

Ladies of the church, keep your eyes open for the start of a women’s Bible study starting soon. Our regular Bible study on Wednesday is taking a short break and will return the beginning of next month at its usual times on Wednesday, 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. So warm up your Bibles.

Remember to come and share the Lord’s Day together here at First United Methodist. If you are unable to attend, the service is streamed on our Facebook page, but we would love to see you here at service.
