January 29, 2018

Gods blessings be with you.

Can you believe we are at the end of January? This month just seems to have flown by. As we move forward into the new month, there are many things coming up.

There is the Homemade Chili contest on the second Sunday of the month. If you would like to be one of the contestants, please let us know at the church office by Wednesday the 7th so preparations can be made. Then bring your chili on Sunday. Judges will be everyone who comes to the event.

Our choir has begun practicing for the Easter Cantata, which will be presented the Sunday after Easter. I think you will really like the music and the message. It will be presented during our Sunday Service.

Adult Bible study will begin on the Wednesday after Ash Wednesday. The title of the Study is, Restored: Finding Redemption in our Mess. All are invited to attend. The classes will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. If you plan to attend, please let the church office know so that we can get the right number of books.

Ash Wednesday will fall on the 14th of February this year. We will be having a 6 p.m. worship service with the imposition of the ashes and the offering of our concerns and sins to God. Come and join us as we start our Lenten journey.

Please remember those suffering from the flu in your prayers. The flu seems to be hitting hard throughout our nation this year. May God be with those who have caught this disease.

There is much to do at church and more to come. Hope to see you at church each Sunday.
