April 18, 2017:

Greetings in the name of the Lord.

Ok. Did I say something wrong last week? This is the question most preachers ask themselves on the Sunday after Easer. Palm Sunday and Easter attendance were such a joy. Two Sunday’s in a row with over one hundred people in the pews was really uplifting and fun.

Then came last Sunday. I thank those who were there, but miss those who were not. We went down to just a couple over fifty people present. Wouldn’t it be fun if every day was an Easter Sunday? More voices joined in praise and worship is truly amazing.

Last Sunday I gave an assignment to all present and I am extending it to the whole church family. You are all now a part of our Evangelism committee. Your first job is to think of five people you know who do not attend any church. You then write their names down on a piece of paper. Finally, you are asked to pray for them by name each day, asking God to lead them to attend church and become disciples. Do this for two weeks.

May we work together to make disciples of all people, calling them into fellowship in the body of Christ, which is the church.

May God’s love and grace be with you this week.

See you in church!
