November 14, 2016:

Greetings in the name of the Lord.

Together we recognize and remember. This past Sunday we celebrated Veterans day together. Thirteen of our members were recognized during the service and thanked for their service to our country. It was a memorable time. As we recognize these members, we need to also remember those veterans who gave their all for our country, protecting our freedoms and giving us liberty.

The celebrations continue next Sunday as we have our Thanksgiving gathering after service and then decorate the sanctuary after the meal. Bring your appetite, I know you will not be disappointed. Afterward stay to help get our sanctuary ready for the Advent season as we start counting down the weeks to Christmas.

Our Bible Study Groups have decided to take the month of December off and start up again the second Wednesday in January with a study of the Gospel of Matthew. This Wednesday we will be studying the fifth mark of a Methodist and the last Wednesday of the month we will do a wrap up of the book. Five Marks of a Methodist has been a good study and we look forward to Matthew.

Have a blessed week.
