September 12, 2016:

Greetings in the name of the Lord.

The remembrance of those who lost their lives during 9/11 was very moving this Sunday. It is important to remember and pray for those whose lives were changed that day. As I thought about the day, I was struck by the fact that 9/11 is this generations Pearl Harbor.

We have many events coming up in the church. This Thursday there will be a mini workday as we try to clean up our storage areas. It is to start at 3 pm. Unfortunately, Dianna and I will be out of town that day going to a meeting in Houston. We will return Friday night. The food pantry will be this Thursday. Come and help share the food and the love. Wednesday bible study is going strong. We are over half-way through our first book. All who want to come are welcome. The last Sunday of the month will see the start of confirmation. It will be at 3 pm each Sunday. That same day we will be having a Picnic under the pavilion honoring Sunday School. Please bring picnic style food to share that day and be ready to fellowship together.

As you can see there are things happening at the church. Come, join in, and celebrate our lives together as the family of God.

Have a blessed week.
